About the Maker

My name is Chris McKinley. I am the owner and creator of Kinley Jewelry. Thank you for visiting and showing interest in my creations.

I make jewelry from my home studio in beautiful Southern
Illinois on the edge of The Shawnee National Forest in Carbondale,
Illinois. My studio is surrounded by woods and wildlife, a creek and a
community of wonderful creative people. I draw most of my design inspiration
from nature and have a particular fascination with geometrical patterns in
nature, what some might call divine design or sacred geometry. I am
constantly in awe of the "art" in nature, from the hexagonal bee hive
to the patterns of a butterfly wing to the spiral of the galaxies. I have
a background in Ecology and Forestry and I spend as much leisure time as I can
exploring the forest, hiking trails and bluffs, swimming and kayaking in lakes
and taking photographs of all the beauty I am so lucky to have all around me.

My goal is to provide adornments for women that help foster our vital connection
to the earth that can easily be neglected in modern life. I also want to help women assert their individuality through authentic self-expression. Fashion choices can say a lot about a person's values and passions and can attract others with a kindred spirit.

It's very important to me that you are happy with your purchase. Please feel free to contact me directly if you have any problems, issues or wishes regarding an order or if you have custom requests.
